After losing to Sweet Springs the last time they met, Crest Ridge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Crest Ridge Cougars came out on top against the Sweet Springs Greyhounds by a score of 47-34 on Tuesday. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Greyhounds are ranked 501st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Kayley Marten, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points and seven rebounds. Gracyn Vanwey was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Crest Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive contests.

Crest Ridge's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Sweet Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Crest Ridge has already played their next game, a 51-46 victory against St. Paul Lutheran on the 20th. Sweet Springs has also already played their next contest (against Lawson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
