It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Glenwood had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed past the Thomasville Tigers to the tune of 43-10. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won seven matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Glenwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nate Malone, who rushed for 129 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. Malone's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Jalen Stanley, who threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing.

Glenwood's run defense was locked in: Thomasville could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Tyler Claridy for the heroic effort on defense: he. Glenwood didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.8.

Despite the defeat, Thomasville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cooper Elam rushed for 105 yards and one TD, and also picked up 34 receiving yards.

The victory (which was Glenwood's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for Thomasville, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.

Glenwood has already played their next contest, a 40-7 victory against Trinity Presbyterian on the 14th. Thomasville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
