Basketball Game Preview: Omaha Nation Chiefs vs. Marty Indian Braves

The Omaha Nation Chiefs will square off against the Marty Indian Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Marty Indian is hoping to do what Winside couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Omaha Nation's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Everything went Omaha Nation's way against Winside as Omaha Nation made off with a 55-33 victory. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Wildcats are ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Marty Indian waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 59-26 win over the Cowboys.

Marty Indian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Omaha Nation, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Omaha Nation came up short against Marty Indian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 65-55. Can Omaha Nation avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
