Baseball Game Preview: Rusk Eagles vs. Canton Eagles

Rusk will take on Canton in a tournament on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Monday just wasn't the day for Rusk's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orangefield on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Canton didn't have quite enough to beat Caddo Mills on Friday and fell 4-3. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Canton fell to 2-1. As for Rusk, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Rusk was able to grind out a solid win over Canton in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 6-2. Will Rusk repeat their success, or does Canton has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
