Volleyball Recap: Seguin Gets the Win

Seguin posted their closest victory since August 22nd on Saturday. They skirted past the Del Valle Cardinals 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Matadors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Seguin who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 18-25, 25-13.

Seguin can attribute much of their success to Mia Hernandez, who had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Hernandez has posted since back in November of 2024.

The win got Seguin back to even at 14-14. As for Del Valle, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seguin will face off against Lanier at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Del Valle, they will take on Hendrickson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
