Recap: Hun Raiders vs. Varsity Opponent
The Hun Raiders were the 71-52 winner over Varsity Opponent when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Hun was outmatched by Varsity Opponent on the road and fell 93-38. Hun was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-21.
Gabby D'Agostino and CeeJay Thomas certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. D'Agostino scored 19 points along with six rebounds, while Thomas scored ten points along with eight rebounds. D'Agostino scored a full 50% of Hun's points, the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Hun has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, their victory bumped their record up to 64-246-3.
Hun is on the road again on January 8th and play against Lawrenceville School at 5:15 p.m. on January 8th. Varsity Opponent and The Academy of the Holy Cross will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
