It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oglethorpe County had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Commerce Tigers 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their 16th in a row.

Oglethorpe County was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-9.

Their offense was headlined by Leanna Newton and Elizabeth Cook, who picked up 15 kills apiece. They got some help from Naomi McPeake and her 32 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Despite the loss, Commerce still got an impressive performance from Lakyn Redmon, who had nine digs and one assist.

Oglethorpe County's victory bumped their record up to 28-8. As for Commerce, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-23.

Oglethorpe County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Armuchee on the 18th. Commerce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
