Baseball Recap: Waverly Central Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Waverly Central's offense. They fell just short of the Sycamore War Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the War Eagles earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

Waverly Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Sycamore, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waverly Central will venture away from home to take on Christ Presbyterian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sycamore, they will head out to square off against Creek Wood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
