Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North fell victim to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 1-0. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Raelyn Mancias spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paris Mederez, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
