Football Recap: Fletcher Skates Past Parker with Ease

Fletcher won the last time they faced Parker and things went their way on Friday too. The Senators took their match with ease, bagging a 45-8 win over the Braves. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-0.

A big part of Fletcher's victory came down to the chemistry between Cruz James Bajek and his top target Diondre Smith. James Bajek threw for 320 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes while Smith picked up 156 receiving yards and three TDs. Those 156 receiving yards gave Smith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Jones, who picked up 146 receiving yards and one score.

Fletcher didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Donny Mckay, Will Reynolds, and Lewis Stewart picked up one apiece. Reynolds is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

Fletcher has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 21 points this season. As for Parker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Fletcher didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-6 victory against Atlantic Coast on the 5th. As for Parker, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Menendez at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th. This will be the Braves' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
