Baseball Recap: Jackson County Central Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Jackson County Central and St. James have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Huskies fell just short of the Saints by a score of 6-5. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 7-4 to the Saints when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jackson County Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Talan Holm, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Jackson County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for St. James, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Saints beat Jackson County Central by a score of 9-8 on Friday.
