Baseball Recap: Pen Argyl Comes Up Short

Pen Argyl extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 11-9 in the process. They came up short against the Saucon Valley Panthers, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in April.

As for Saucon Valley, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

For Saucon Valley's part, Cole Hubert was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Hubert has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Saucon Valley got a massive performance out of Noah Hubert, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Hubert's first of the season. Frank DiRusso was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Pen Argyl nor Saucon Valley have any future games scheduled.
