            Softball Recap: Pine View Panthers vs. Hurricane Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Pine View extended their losing streak  to nine  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-17 in the process. They came up short against  the Hurricane Tigers, falling  18-11. Even if the Panthers couldn't come away with the  victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
  Genevieve Evans and  Kylie Carpenter stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Evans  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Carpenter  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kamarie Sullivan, who  went 2-for-5 with two  runs and one  RBI.
As for Hurricane, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-14. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 On Hurricane's side, they got a  massive  performance out of  Faith Fuller, who  went 4-for-5 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  Fuller has posted since back in March of 2024.  Ashlyn Hirschi was another key player,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
While Pine View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
