Basketball Recap: George C. Marshall Takes a Loss

George C. Marshall was the 50-30 winner over Yorktown when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The George C. Marshall Statesmen came up short against the Yorktown Patriots on Thursday, falling 45-24. The match marked the Statesmen's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for George C. Marshall and nudges their season record down to 10-9. As for Yorktown, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George C. Marshall and Falls Church will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Yorktown, they are taking a road trip to challenge Langley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
