Volleyball Recap: Brookfield Central Falls Short of Oconomowoc in the Playoffs

Brookfield Central and Oconomowoc squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Brookfield Central had to settle for second. They came up short against the Raccoons, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Lancers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Carolyn Gauntt and Rachel Hoerig certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Gauntt had four digs and three aces, while Hoerig had six digs.

Among those leading the charge was Jayce Keller, who had 13 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Brookfield Central moved to 21-19 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Oconomowoc, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 22 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 39-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Brookfield Central nor Oconomowoc have any future games scheduled.
