Baseball Game Preview: First Coast Buccaneers vs. Mandarin Mustangs

The First Coast Buccaneers will challenge the Mandarin Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

First Coast blew ED White out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday ED White got their revenge. The Buccaneers fell just short of the Commanders by a score of 4-2. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

First Coast got a good showing from Jake Rohn, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rohn also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Buccaneers are 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 9-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jo Dawkins made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mandarin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Seckinger on Wednesday.

Mandarin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Francisco Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

First Coast now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Mandarin, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
