Basketball Recap: CSTHEA Comes Up Short

CSTHEA was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rocket City Falcons . The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 64-25.

Rocket City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lily Trotter led the charge by going 6 of 12 en route to 13 points along with eight boards and four steals. Trotter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Allegra Borchers was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to ten rebounds and five steals.

CSTHEA's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Rocket City, they pushed their record up to 6-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. CSTHEA will welcome Hixson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hixson will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something CSTHEA surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rocket City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Life Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m.
