Soccer Recap: Newton Local Finishes Even with Catholic Central

For the first time since September 4th, Newton Local was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and the Catholic Central Irish finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Evanston Hemphill was the only thing that stood between Newton Local and a shutout considering he scored both of Newton Local's goals, bringing his season total up to nine goals.

Newton Local's draw gives them a new season record of 2-9-3. Meanwhile, Catholic Central's record is now 2-9-1.

Coming up, Newton Local will be playing at home against Dixie at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Catholic Central, they will head out to square off against Preble Shawnee at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
