Softball Game Preview: Hudson Hornets vs. Bullard Panthers

Hudson hasn't had much luck against Bullard recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hudson Hornets will be playing at home against the Bullard Panthers at 6:45 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Hudson barely beat Center the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Hudson put the hurt on Center with a sharp 15-4 victory on Friday.

Meanwhile, Bullard waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 13-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Bullard pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hudson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9-1 record this season.

Hudson couldn't quite get it done against Bullard when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can Hudson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
