Basketball Recap: St. Francis Takes a Loss

St. Francis was the 59-56 winner over Rawlins County when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Francis Indians lost 52-28 to the Rawlins County Buffaloes on Friday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Tru Dewey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds for Rawlins County. With that strong performance, Dewey is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Shaun Lare, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and three steals.

St. Francis' record is now 2-14. As for Rawlins County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

St. Francis will challenge Oakley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. As for Rawlins County, they will take on Hill City at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
