Basketball Recap: New Covenant Academy Comes Up Short

New Covenant Academy lost against Blue Eye back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The New Covenant Academy Warriors had to suffer through a 57-26 loss at the hands of the Blue Eye Bulldogs. The Warriors' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

New Covenant Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Blue Eye, the win was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Covenant Academy will head out to take on Galena at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blue Eye, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Cassville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Eye has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 171 points over their last three contests.
