Basketball Game Preview: St. Elizabeth Vikings vs. Middletown Islanders

The St. Elizabeth Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Middletown Islanders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Elizabeth knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Middletown likes a good challenge.

St. Elizabeth is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Archmere Academy, who was ranked 16th at the time (St. Elizabeth was ranked 15th). The Vikings came out on top against the Auks by a score of 55-44 two weeks ago. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Auks: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 74-66 to Juanita Sanchez Complex.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for St. Elizabeth, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
