Basketball Recap: Lewisburg Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Parker Moss and Ciara Banks

Lewisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. The game between them and the DeSoto Central Jaguars didn't end well, with the Lewisburg Patriots falling 52-38. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-31 on January 3rd.

Ciara Banks and Parker Moss certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Banks posted eight points and 13 boards, while Moss earned 11 points. That's the most rebounds Banks has posted since back in November of 2024.

Lewisburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for DeSoto Central, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Lewisburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-40 defeat against St. Mary's Episcopal on the 24th. DeSoto Central has also already played their next match (against Horn Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
