Alvarado is 8-2 against Godley since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Alvarado Indians will take on the Godley Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Alvarado knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Godley likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Alvarado didn't have too much trouble with Hillsboro as they won 65-47. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Godley was beaten by Gordon 56-24 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1071st, while the Longhorns are ranked 368th).

Alvarado's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Godley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 18 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-24 record this season.

Alvarado strolled past Godley when the teams last played back in January by a score of 52-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alvarado since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
