Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Coolidge walked away with it. They snuck past the Eastern Ramblers with a 13-7 victory on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Colts as they're now sitting on four straight.

Despite the defeat, Eastern had strong showings from Jeremiah Hubbard, who rushed for 29 yards and one TD, and William Simmons, who rushed for 66 yards.

Coolidge's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Eastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Coolidge and Eastern will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Colts see the field they'll take on Dunbar at 11:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Eastern, their break will end when they face Friendship Collegiate Academy at 1:00 p.m. on the 29th.
