The McClintock Chargers will square off against the Kellis Cougars at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (McClintock has three straight wins, Kellis has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, McClintock got the win against Glendale by a conclusive 15-2. Considering the Chargers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Bradford McCurdy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. McCurdy was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Markus Lopez was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Reynoso, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
McClintock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glendale only posted an OBP of .273.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Kellis' offense. They came up short against Centennial on Thursday, falling 19-0.
McClintock pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.3 runs over those games. As for Kellis, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
Kellis' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: McClintock has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437. It's a different story for Kellis, though, as they've only averaged .354. Will they be able to contain McClintock's hitters?
