Softball Preview: Rowlett Eagles vs. Wylie Pirates

Rowlett is 0-10 against Wylie since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Eagles will square off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Rowlett challenged Garland on Thursday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Owls a 10-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three games in a row.

Baylee Grant was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025.
