Basketball Game Recap: Bushnell-Prairie City vs. Elmwood

On Tuesday, the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans were out to avenge their 61-35 defeat to the Elmwood Trojans from their previous meeting last February, but they had no such luck. Bushnell-Prairie City fell just short of Elmwood by a score of 52-49. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The Spartans' loss pushed them down to 12-11. The win was the fourth in a row for the Trojans and raised their record to 19-6.

Bushnell-Prairie City is staying on the road Friday to face off against Illini West. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup. As for Elmwood, they will face off against Cuba/Spoon River Valley Friday. Elmwood won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
