Baseball Recap: Saks Comes Up Short

Saks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 16-5 to the Jacksonville Christian Academy Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 last Friday.

LaJuan Curry was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Saks' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coincidentally, Saks and Jacksonville Christian Academy will both be playing Talladega the next time they take the field. Jacksonville Christian Academy will host Talladega at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Saks will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
