Baseball Recap: Baylor Gets the Win

Baylor won the last time they faced Boyd-Buchanan and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Baylor Red Raiders came out on top against the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers by a score of 5-1.

Baylor got a great performance from Wells Grisham as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Grisham has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Mac Morris was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sam Godbout, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

The victory got Baylor back to even at 1-1. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Baylor will square off against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boyd-Buchanan has already played their next contest (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
