Soccer Recap: Wylie Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wylie can now relate to. They fell just short of the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wylie came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Duncanville are ranked 107th).

Wylie's defeat dropped their record down to 19-2. As for Duncanville, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Wylie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Duncanville, they will take on The Woodlands on Thursday. The Woodlands will roll in looking for their 22nd straight victory, something Duncanville surely won't give up without a fight.
