Preview: Northside Eagles vs. Peach County Trojans
Northside has enjoyed a six-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Peach County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Northside beat Howard 63-59.
Northside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keron Milton jr., who scored 16 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chastan Brown, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Peach County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Perry 66-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (61), Peach County still had to take the loss.
Northside's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Peach County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Northside came up short against Peach County in their previous meeting on January 9th, falling 55-46. Can Northside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
