Basketball Recap: Islesboro Central Takes a Loss

Islesboro Central lost against Valley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Islesboro Central Eagles were outmatched by the Valley Cavaliers and fell 83-23. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 14th).

This is the second loss in a row for Islesboro Central and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Valley beat Islesboro Central by a score of 83-23 on Saturday.
