Dixie has gone 8-2 against Pine View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dixie Flyers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pine View Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Dixie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.6 points per game this season.

Dixie is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-47 heartbreaker at the hands of Crimson Cliffs.

Despite their defeat, Dixie saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jay Jay Davey, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Zed Webber, who posted nine points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Pine View hadn't done well against Snow Canyon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Pine View strolled past Snow Canyon with points to spare, taking the game 60-43. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Warriors are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pine View is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

Dixie came up short against Pine View when the teams last played on January 8th, falling 48-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Pine View's Jelani Odjegba, who went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Now that Dixie knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
