Baseball Recap: Midland Has No Trouble Against Galva

Midland not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 18, 2024. They put the hurt on the Galva Wildcats with a sharp 8-2 win. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Midland let Owen LaRoe and Dom Rosa run wild. LaRoe scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Rosa scored two runs and stole three bases. Midland is 2-1 when LaRoe posts two or more stolen bases, but 0-5-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Henry Elsasser, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Midland's win bumped their record up to 2-6-2. As for Galva, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Midland will venture away from home to square off against Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Galva, they will welcome Monmouth United at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
