Basketball Recap: Northern Garrett Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Hardy, Northern Garrett was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They slipped by the Allegany Campers 58-57. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Campers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 61-54 defeat.

Northern Garrett has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Allegany, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Northern Garrett will be playing at home against Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northern Garrett knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Southern likes a good challenge. As for Allegany, they will face off against Fort Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Hill will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Allegany surely won't give up without a fight.
