Baseball Recap: Sutton Triumphs

Sutton proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 13) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Bellingham Blackhawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sammies have posted since May 7, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Andrew Cloutier, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Kehowski, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Sutton's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Bellingham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sutton will face off against Bartlett at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bellingham, they will host Medfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
