Volleyball Game Preview: Midlothian Trojans vs. Cosby Titans + Official Tickets

Midlothian is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Cosby is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Trojans will welcome the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Midlothian is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since November 16, 2024 on Monday. They lost 3-0 to St. Catherine's. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-13.

If Huguenot wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cosby, they should've done a better job of containing Ainsley Shoemaker. The Titans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons on Thursday thanks in part to Shoemaker, who had eight aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cosby took every set by at least 19 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-6, 25-4.

Cosby's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Midlothian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 16-1.

Everything went Midlothian's way against Cosby in their previous meeting back in September, as Midlothian made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
