Volleyball Recap: Pecos Eagles vs. Fort Stockton Panthers

Pecos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Fort Stockton Panthers, falling 3-0. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Pecos was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-23.

Zarilynn Archuleta paced Pecos' offense, picking up five kills. Archuleta got some help from Aliyah Perez and her seven assists. Perez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pecos' defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Fort Stockton, their win ended a seven-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-13.
