Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest lost against Greenwood back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Hillcrest have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson Groome wasn't going to let Greenwood walk away unscathed as he scored both of Hillcrest's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Greenwood, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hillcrest will take on rival T.L. Hanna at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Greenwood is set to face off against their familiar foe Mauldin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
