            Basketball Recap: Norfolk Panthers vs. Omaha South Packers        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Norfolk, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Saturday. They snuck past the Omaha South Packers with  a  56-50 victory on Thursday. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered  a  69-58  loss the last time these two teams met.

 Norfolk was led to victory by  Drew Streich and  Gavin Jarecki.  Streich  posted 19 points along with five  rebounds and four  steals, while  Jarecki  had 15  points and three  steals. Jarecki has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  steals the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Cohen Skiff, who  put up four  points in addition to five  boards and four  steals.
 Despite the loss, Omaha South still got an impressive performance from   Mar Cantu, who  made all 5  shots he took racking up 12 points and five  rebounds. That's the most  points  Cantu has posted since back in December of 2024.  Caleb Williams was another key player,  putting up seven points.
Norfolk's win bumped their record up to 3-18. As for Omaha South, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost 15 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record  this season.
 Norfolk didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  67-54  defeat against Grand Island on the 24th. Omaha South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
