Volleyball Recap: Cedar Springs' Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Cedar Springs saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shepherd Bluejays. The game marked the first time this year in which the Red Hawks were not able to get on the board.

While Cedar Springs ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Ava Workman and Kendall Fisk, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Jessie Teesdale and her nine assists. Taylor Gunderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cedar Springs fell to 3-1-2.

Coming up, Cedar Springs will welcome Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shepherd has already played their next matchup (against Fulton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
