Baseball Recap: Dixon Comes Up Short

Dixon had lost four straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-12 to make it five. They came up short against the Sutter Huskies, falling 21-5. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Isacc Santos was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

As for Sutter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games.

On Sutter's side, Landyn Singh was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Singh has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Karter Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Dixon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Casa Roble on the 15th. As for Sutter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-6 victory against Rio Linda on the 15th.
