Basketball Recap: Waterville Comes Up Short

Waterville was the 42-40 winner over Leavitt when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Waterville Panthers took a hard 57-41 fall against the Leavitt Hornets on Tuesday. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

Waterville's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Leavitt, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterville will square off against Morse at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Waterville is facing Morse at the right time seeing as Morse is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Leavitt, they will take on Mount View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
