Hayden Sladewski posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Sladewski's strong effort led Scotia-Glenville over Gloversville and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies/Dragons are limping into the matchup having lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season.
