Basketball Game Preview: Golden Gate Titans vs. Riverdale Raiders

The Golden Gate Titans will take on the Riverdale Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Golden Gate is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Golden Gate came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Neumann by a score of 52-49 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Riverdale's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 68-47 to Cape Coral. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 662nd, while the Seahawks are ranked 223rd).

Golden Gate will need focus on slowing down Emmanuel Adetutu, one of several Riverdale players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Rodriguez, who scored eight points and six assists.

Riverdale's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-14. As for Golden Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17.
