Softball Recap: Catholic Central Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Catholic Central's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-0 to the Madison Plains Golden Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Irish in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Madison Plains, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Golden Eagles beat Catholic Central by a score of 19-2 on Tuesday.
