Softball Recap: Bishop Ready Takes a Loss

Bishop Ready was the 12-11 winner over St. Francis DeSales when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Silver Knights fell just short of the Stallions by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Silver Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olyvia Piper made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Wohrle, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Bishop Ready's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for St. Francis DeSales, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Bishop Ready will look to defend their home field on Friday against Buckeye Valley at 5:15 p.m. As for St. Francis DeSales, they will take on Worthington Kilbourne at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Stallions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 12.7 runs per game this season.
