Blanket and Sidney are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Tigers will head out to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blanket has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 5.

On Friday, Blanket was beaten by Cross Plains 72-19. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1486th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 583rd).

Meanwhile, Sidney ended up a good deal behind Santa Anna on Friday and lost 41-24. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Mountaineers: they've now lost three in a row.

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Blanket, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Blanket might still be hurting after the 38-16 defeat they got from Sidney in their previous matchup back in December of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
