Baseball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian easily dispatched Raleigh HomeSchool last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Patriots fell just short of the Clayton Comets by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Patriots have suffered since April 10, 2024.

Tanner Trevathan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Clayton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Faith Christian will take on SouthWest Edgecombe in a tournament on the 23rd. As for Clayton, they will host Fuquay - Varina at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
